💧 INDIA’S WATER INFRASTRUCTURE OPPORTUNITY IS GETTING BIGGER.

India’s water and wastewater market is projected to grow from approximately ₹3.95 lakh crore during FY20–FY24 to ₹6.31–₹6.51 lakh crore during FY25–FY29, according to CRISIL Intelligence.
But the bigger story isn't just the number.

It is what is driving the investment.

🏙️ Urbanisation
Growing cities need stronger water supply and wastewater networks.
🏭 Industrial Growth
Manufacturing and industrial expansion are increasing demand for reliable water systems.
💧 Water Security
Water availability and sustainability are becoming critical infrastructure priorities.
♻️ Treatment & Reuse
The focus is increasingly moving beyond supply towards wastewater treatment, recycling and reuse.

Government Investment
Jal Jeevan Mission 2.0 has been extended to December 2028 with a total outlay of ₹8.69 lakh crore, with a stronger focus on sustainable service delivery, digital mapping and long-term operation & maintenance.

So, what does this mean?
The next phase of India's water story will not be built around one product or one project.

It will require an entire ecosystem:
Source → Treatment → Transmission → Storage → Distribution → Wastewater → Recycling → Reuse

At Shlok, we want to understand this ecosystem — and share what we learn along the way.

This is more than a market.
It is infrastructure that India will depend on for decades.

SHLOK
Understanding the infrastructure behind every drop.
